Strengthening capacities of CALM in the area of public finance


Mapping needs and identification of potential non-government recipients of the assistance took place in Moldova within the Public Finance for Development programme in 2012 and 2013. The Congress of Local Public Authorities of Moldova (CALM) has been identified as a potential beneficiary of assistance under Activity Result 3, supported also by the fact that the local public finance reform is getting prominence in the government reform agenda in Moldova. European Year for Development 2015 is for the development and international community a very important milestone, which among other provides an important policy discussions on the development agenda after 2015. What is more, upcoming Slovak Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the second half of the 2016 opens opportunities to stir the wider professional and academic debate on the importance of the democracy, development and global issues. Capacity building for program based budgeting in Moldova


One of our Projects in Moldova is: Capacity building for program based budgeting in Moldova (2010-16). The purpose of the project is to provide assistance to the Ministry of Finance (MF) of the Republic of Moldova in implementing the program based budgeting (PBB) central and local public administration of Moldova.
