The Ministry of Finance of Moldova organised a 3-day workshop on ‘Fiscal Governance and the Role of Fiscal Councils’ that took place at the end of May in Moldova. The purpose of the workshop was to present the experience on Fiscal Governance, as well as to understand the mandate and operation of the Fiscal Councils of several European countries. Slovakia was one of them.
In the second part of April 2016 the Public Accountants Certification Training (PACT) has officially started with kick-off event in Podgorica. It will enable training of up to 40 public sector accountants in Montenegro. The project is financially secured by our Public Finance for Development (PFD) programme (funded by MF Slovakia and implemented by UNDP for Europe and CIS).
Associations from the Visegrad Group and from the Eastern Neighborhood attended the final conference: “New challenges for local governments – role of umbrella organizations in the development cooperation” in Bratislava at the beginning of April. Activities of our PFD program were presented there too.
On 12 and 13 April the representatives of local government associations from seven countries will discuss about cooperation between local governments from the Visegrad Group and Eastern Partnership in the framework of the project “New Challenges for Local Governments – Role of Umbrella Organizations in the Development Cooperation” in Bratislava.
