{"id":85,"date":"2015-11-03T14:09:28","date_gmt":"2015-11-03T13:09:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/publicfinance.undp.sk\/?page_id=85"},"modified":"2020-11-09T12:12:21","modified_gmt":"2020-11-09T11:12:21","slug":"activities","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/publicfinance.undp.sk\/en\/activities\/","title":{"rendered":"Activities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>All the PFD activities are funded by the <strong>Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic<\/strong> and implemented by <strong>UNDP<\/strong> in the framework of the \u2018The Slovak Republic-UNDP Partnership for Results in the International Development Cooperation Project\u2019. Programme&#8217;s implementation (in three beneficiary countries: Moldova, Montenegro and Ukraine) continues within the framework of this project and is planned until December 2019.<\/p>\n<p>The objective of the programme is to enhance sound and <strong>effective public financial management<\/strong> by <strong>raising awareness, developing analytical capacities<\/strong> and <strong>sharing good practice<\/strong> with regard to <strong>reforms implemented in Slovakia<\/strong> and elsewhere. Activities include policy advice to government partners, capacity assessment, institutional development, training, small grants, workshops, study visits, and professional exchange schemes, etc. The selections of areas of cooperation, and the design of activities, are demand driven. These decisions are conducted in a participatory manner with programme beneficiaries. Aid effectiveness principles are followed.<\/p>\n<p>Programme <strong>planned results<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>Activity result 1 \u2013 Countries public finance needs and priorities identified, demand for technical assistance mapped, projects\u2019 activities coordinated, monitored and evaluated.<br \/>\nActivity result 2 \u2013 Analytical capacities and skills in the area of public finance enhanced and strengthened (government beneficiaries).<br \/>\nActivity result 3 \u2013 Understanding and awareness of public finance concepts increased (non-government stakeholders).<br \/>\nActivity result 4 \u2013 Knowledge shared, information disseminated, and outreach improved.<\/p>\n<p>Area of cooperation in <strong>Moldova<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Capacity building for program based budgeting<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 aims to support implementation of program budgeting across the public administration of Moldova and to create conditions for sustainable capacity development.<\/p>\n<p>Areas of cooperation in <strong>Montenegro<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Macroeconomic and fiscal analysis and forecasting<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 aims to build capacities for and establish credible macro-fiscal forecasting function.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Improving public sector accounting and reporting systems<\/strong> \u2013 aims to support gradual transition to accrual accounting and reporting in accordance with IPSAS and ESA standards.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Strengthening capacities for public debt management<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 aims to strengthen the institutional framework and capacities for this function.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>All the PFD activities are funded by the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic and implemented by UNDP in the framework of the \u2018The Slovak Republic-UNDP Partnership for Results in the International Development Cooperation Project\u2019.
