Few months ago the PFD programme\u2019s presentation and contribution to the booklet from <strong>International conference \u201cDevelopment and Democracy\u201d<\/strong> was prepared and published.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Public finance reform is widely regarded as one of the most successful areas in <strong>Slovakia\u2019s economic transition<\/strong>. Since 2009, the UNDP for Europe and CIS has been implementing the regional Programme: \u2018Public Finance for Development (PFD). It has been <strong>extended several times<\/strong> after the reviewing the positive feedback on the activities, discussing M&amp;E results and assessing the needs of from the partner countries. The project is now a partnership development initiative of the MF SR and UNDP. Slovak experts from MF SR contribute with lessons learned from the economic and social transformation, the reforms, institutions\u2019 building and democratization process. UNDP offers well established network of offices, well working implementation mechanism and a team of independent experts. According to both institutions, <strong>reforming process<\/strong> must be designed carefully, suit local conditions and capacity and it must be implemented gradually.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/publicfinance.undp.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Pontis-konferencia-2016.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-1091 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/publicfinance.undp.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Pontis-konferencia-2016.jpg\" width=\"1000\" height=\"667\" data-id=\"1091\" srcset=\"https:\/\/publicfinance.undp.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Pontis-konferencia-2016.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/publicfinance.undp.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Pontis-konferencia-2016-600x400.jpg 600w, https:\/\/publicfinance.undp.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Pontis-konferencia-2016-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/publicfinance.undp.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Pontis-konferencia-2016-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>PFD programme is exclusively funded by the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic (MF SR).
