{"id":2116,"date":"2019-02-15T07:57:20","date_gmt":"2019-02-15T06:57:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/publicfinance.undp.sk\/2019\/06\/05\/city-experiment-fund-copy\/"},"modified":"2024-01-12T17:24:38","modified_gmt":"2024-01-12T16:24:38","slug":"slovakia-shares-its-public-reform-experience-effectively-and-professionaly","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/publicfinance.undp.sk\/en\/2019\/02\/15\/slovakia-shares-its-public-reform-experience-effectively-and-professionaly\/","title":{"rendered":"Slovakia shares its public reform experience effectively and professionaly"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<strong>&#8220;<i>The Slovak Republic is an active global actor and is professionalising its development co-operation efforts<\/i>,&#8221; says <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oecd.org\/development\/developmentassistancecommitteedac.htm\">OECD DAC<\/a> (OECD Development Assistence Committee) Peer Review of the Slovak development cooperation that was published on 14 February 2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!--more-->[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.oecd.org\/dac\/oecd-development-co-operation-peer-reviews-slovak-republic-2019-9789264312326-en.htm\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">peer review<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the first since the Slovak Republic joined the DAC in 2013, shows how the country successfully raised its voice and influence in global fora, and documents its efforts to align with the 2030 Agenda. <strong>Slovakia\u00b4s leadership and influence<\/strong> in the international development community are <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">impressive for its size.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Strategic partnerships in the Western Balkans and Eastern Europe play significant role in the Slovak development co-operation. \u201e<i>By sharing its public reform experience effectively Slovakia supports countries <\/i><i>hoping to join the EU<\/i>,\u201c underlines the report.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=&#8221;2117&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221;][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;40px&#8221;][vc_column_text]<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Slovakia\u00b4s partnership with the UNDP is a\u00a0good example of strategic partnership which draws on the country\u00b4s comparative advantage. This long-term partnership is continuing, allowing the Slovak Republic to share its experience in public finance management with partners in Montenegro and Moldova.
