[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]O<\/span><\/span>ne of the main objectives of<\/span><\/span>\u202f<\/span><\/span>the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak Republic<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00b4s (MF SR) development cooperation<\/span><\/span>\u202f<\/span><\/span>is\u00a0<\/span><\/span>sound\u202fpublic finance management\u202fand good governance in partner countries<\/span><\/span>.\u202f<\/span><\/span>T<\/span><\/span>he MF SR, i<\/span><\/span>nterest<\/span><\/span>ed<\/span><\/span>\u00a0in knowledge exchange<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>and facilitation of technical assistance in public financial management<\/span><\/span>,<\/span><\/span>\u00a0decided to partner with\u00a0<\/span><\/span>the\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Center of Excellence in Finance<\/span><\/span><\/a>. The\u00a0<\/span><\/span>CEF is an international organization based in Ljubljana, Slovenia with a mission to support capacity development for public finance officials in South East Europe.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Current activities<\/h3>\n

The partnership between the MF SR and the CEF\u00a0<\/span>dates back to<\/span>\u00a02010.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>During the ten years of cooperation,<\/span><\/span> the MF SR has contributed to the <\/span><\/span>implementation of several\u00a0<\/span><\/span>PFM<\/span><\/span>\u00a0capacity building activities in\u00a0<\/span><\/span>the\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Western Balkans and Eastern Partnership<\/span><\/span>\u00a0countries<\/span><\/span>. The collaboration\u00a0<\/span><\/span>is based on<\/span><\/span>\u00a0both long-term bilateral projects and\u00a0<\/span><\/span>common<\/span><\/span>\u00a0learning initiatives<\/span><\/span>\u00a0for partner countries. The activities<\/span><\/span>\u00a0complement\u00a0<\/span><\/span>the MF SR’s<\/span><\/span>, and CEF’s, <\/span><\/span>programs with other development partners, such as the UNDP or the EU.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>The<\/span><\/span>\u00a0results<\/span><\/span>\u00a0achieved<\/span><\/span>\u00a0build on\u00a0<\/span><\/span>the\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Slovak experience and expertise in <\/span><\/span>public financial management\u00a0<\/span><\/span>and development cooperation. During the last three years<\/span><\/span>, the<\/span><\/span> CEF engaged twenty-two Slovak experts for various learning & knowledge management activities.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The ministry’s <\/span><\/span>joint\u00a0<\/span><\/span>flagship project s<\/span><\/span>upport<\/span><\/span>ed<\/span><\/span>\u00a0the\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Public Accountants Certification Training in Montenegro<\/span><\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Since<\/span><\/span>\u00a02020<\/span><\/span>,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>the\u00a0<\/span><\/span>MF SR\u00a0<\/span><\/span>has also\u00a0<\/span><\/span>co-financed the participation of Moldovan officials in\u00a0<\/span><\/span>the\u00a0<\/span><\/span>EU fiscal implications of structural reforms project<\/span><\/span><\/a>, which\u00a0<\/span><\/span>is still being<\/span><\/span>\u00a0implemented by the CEF.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
