{"id":61,"date":"2015-04-28T13:22:49","date_gmt":"2015-04-28T12:22:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/publicfinance.undp.sk\/?p=61"},"modified":"2024-01-12T17:24:40","modified_gmt":"2024-01-12T16:24:40","slug":"conference","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/publicfinance.undp.sk\/en\/2015\/04\/28\/conference\/","title":{"rendered":"Conference about Local authorities and Development cooperation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span title=\"Together with officials from new and emerging donor and partner countries the participants reviewed the new priority themes, sectors and modalities of knowledge and expertise sharing and discussed what would improve effectiveness in knowledge sharing and how could peer-to-peer networks better support sharing of learnings\"><span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"sk\"><span title=\"beginning of December 2015. The conference brought together more than 150 participants for two days of formal and informal discussions on how to lead successful anti-corruption and decentralization efforts. \">At the end of April 2015 ZMOS organized International conference &#8220;<strong>Local authorities and Development cooperation<\/strong><em>&#8221; <\/em>in Bratislava. The Congress of Local Public Authorities of Moldova<strong> (CALM)<\/strong> representatives were also present there. PFD program presentation was part of the conference <a href=\"http:\/\/publicfinance.undp.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/zmos_konferencia.pdf\">program<\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"sk\" title=\"One of the discussions was focused on practical ways to increase institutional capacities for knowledge sharing - how to ensure the alignment between technical knowledge and the need to make the knowledge sharing experience more effective for partners.\"><\/span><strong title=\"The objective of the Advisory Board meeting is to exchange views on trends and capacity development needs in public financial management (PFM), revenue administration and central banking among CEF partner institutions and the CEF staff;\">Association of Towns and Communities of Slovakia (ZMOS)<\/strong> is the largest non-governmental organization uniting municipalities as legal entities, which was established in 1990 in \u017dilina. At present, out of the total number of 2,930 towns and villages in the Slovak Republic, 2792 are members, which represent 95% of the municipalities of Slovakia. Towns, villages and boroughs are associated and aggregated into 60 regional associations of ZMOS, based on their manifested voluntary solidarity.
