In February 2016, the United Nations Development Programme celebrates its 50th anniversary. Therefore Slovak partner of PFD programme – the Ministry of Finance of the Slovak republic (International Relations Section) is sending the anniversary’s wishes to UNDP.
With the interest to continue successful implementation of ‘Public Finance for Development’ Programme and sharing the experiences from Slovakia’s economic transition, MoF SR entered into partnership with UNDP and MFEA SR in the new project ‘Slovak Republic and UNDP Partnership for Results in the International Development Cooperation’ in 2014. PFD programme implementation continues within the framework of this project (in two beneficiary countries: Moldova and Montenegro) until the end of Year 2016.
The Ministry of Finance of the Slovak republic (International Relations Section) as the partner of PFD programme is sending the anniversary’s wishes to UNDP:
“From the Slovak Ministry of Finance point of view, the presence of the UNDP in our region has been directed towards: multiplying the impact of development activities and strengthening emerging donors position in the international development area. The long-term cooperation between the Slovak Ministry of Finance and the UNDP has been aimed at as well as motivated by the shared efforts for effective knowledge sharing from the Slovak economic transition, using gained knowledge about the region of Western Balkans and the Eastern Partnership and technical expertise in development projects implementation.
Let’s wish happy 50th anniversary to this organization. I wish that UNDP´s development projects success was always derived from the relevance and high quality expertise delivery, inclusion of partner country´s needs, effectiveness of the project management and achieved progress. Just as it has been in case of the Public Finance for Development programme implemented jointly by Slovak Ministry of Finance and the UNDP.”
