At the end of November 2015 the United Nations Development Programme organized in Istanbul high-level workshop on the Future of Knowledge Sharing. Together with officials from new and emerging donor and partner countries the participants reviewed the new priority themes, sectors and modalities of knowledge and expertise sharing and discussed what would improve effectiveness in knowledge sharing and how could peer-to-peer networks better support sharing of learnings. At the end of November High-Level Workshop “Designing the future of knowledge sharing and ensuring knowledge continuity” will take place in Istanbul, Turkey. The Workshop will focus on critically reflecting on existing knowledge sharing mechanisms used by emerging and established donors in the Europe and CIS region and their evolution in recent years.

During two days, the 19th and 20th of October, the members of CLPA (The Congress of Local Public Authorities) had the opportunity to learn from the experience of Slovakia in the field of local finance.
Moldova and Montenegro recently ratified the Agreement on Establishing the Center of Excellence in Finance (CEF) as an international organization. Countries that ratified the Agreement are full CEF members and can influence all major decisions through the CEF Governing Board. Read more »
